Would you get a merchant's logo tattoo just to get a discount? (Take a Poll)

submitted on March 31, 2011 by HouTex in "Sales / Promotions"
A recent offer from ShopEcko - "Get Branded for Life" - http://www.buxr.com/deal/get-a.....life_80549 would give a 20% discount anytime to customers who get a permanent tattoo of one of their logos.
I thought that was so outrageous that I had to post it as a deal (after I forced myself to stop laughing).
It would sure take more than 20% off to get me to do that!

What's your limit?
Would you get a merchant's tattoo, and how big a discount is enough incentive for you?

 Yes, in a heartbeat!
 No way!
Depends on how big the discount is...

That would be a definite! The only place I shop for my Pet food unless I am out of canned cat food. Publix carries Newman's Own so I will grab a couple of cans from there to carry me through.

It wouldn't be so bad if you were a frequent shopper and the discount was enough. Tattoos run kind of high sometimes so depending on the size and location, you may pay a pretty penny for it. So after offsetting the cost just to get the discount, you would have to spend a lot of money at that store. Then you have to factor in the economy and such. What if the store goes bankrupt in 5 years? Do you want to be stuck with a logo on you?

Well, this is certainly an extension of the idea to drive a car with ads (example: Wienermobile) for free or a discounted rate. I personally against any permanent tattoos, for fun or profit. Temporary one? I will think about it

My agent advises against tattoos! It is also a clause in my contract with Revlon.

Ecko Unlimited, purveyors of t-shirts, denim, track jackets, polos, sneakers and more; best-known for its ad campaigns featuring Lindsay Lohan and Vanessa Hudgens, is offering a 20 percent discount off its wares for life to anyone who gets a tattoo of the label's rhino or shears logo

Looks like we are split - 50% wouldn't do it, and 50% would only do it for a bigger discount! Amused
