Emma is looking for a job

submitted on January 26, 2009 by emma123 in "Member's Lounge", last updated on November 26, 2009 by YanBz
From the past few days i was hunting for the part time job so that i can work from home to make some extra money. i did a lot of research on this and finally decided to join survey sites and make some money but even after spending a lot of time i was very disappointed.
If some one give inputs on how to make some extra cash from working from home it would be great!!!!!

you should look into being a "secret shopper" or "mystery shopper" you can earn$50 to $100 per month, and its kind of fun.

My neighbor works (or used to work) as a mystery shopper. They are legit. You have to be able to drive around and go to various stores. Your writing skills have to be good (or OK at the least). You are expected to write a very detailed report about each shopping experience you had even including things like names of the stuff that helped you, not just your overall thoughts about the quality of service

Just watch out for any job or work @ home program that asks you to pay up front for training, books, etc.

I thought of this, and decided to pick one but when i browse their reviews the other says it is scam and promoted their site when i browsed their reviews some other pointed out it as scam.So i am totally confused.

But till now it seems google ad is legit, but i don't know how much money they will ask.

Most of the sites plays trick they will say join our program for 29.99 and once you join they will say buy our products and that will be cost you around for $200-300.

So i am not able to setup my mind what to do and which one to join.

Please share your or your friends experience.

I have NEVER encountered a legitimate job that required you to pay up-front. Perhaps they exist somewhere on the net, I just haven't seen one.

That being said, I really suggest you try some freelancing through Elance. Not only can you find real work, but you can gain valuable experience that you can add to a resume. Best of all, you don't have to leave your house.

About two years back I came across a company that would send you handmade craft items to assemble, that you in turn would sell back to the company for a profit. (They then sold them as finished products on their site.) Basically you bought the raw goods, and turned them into a finished product for them. If you you are a "crafty" person, I can see if I can re-locate that info for you.

If you have any type of skill you think you can freelance, I would try marketing yourself on elance.com .. If you are an OK writer you can probably make some good side cash.

No, but the link provided by Steve may have been the one I was referring too. Like I said, it was two years ago that I saw the info, so my memory is a little fuzzy on it at this point.

    Have you try www.workingsolutions.com
It don't coast you any money, but you need to have a landline phone and a computer running window XP. You need to pass 2 tests before they hire you.

I work through Arise.com which you have to be Incorporated yourself as you work as a IC for them. But I've owned my own business and worked solely from home since 2006. My wife also did it until my son was born.

Is your question about some particular affiliate programs or about how to make money with affiliate programs in general?

Emma - a few years back I worked part time from home for Alpine Access. It is a company that other companies (such as Office Depot) outsource a their customer service/call center work to. It's basically a customer service/call center job that you can do from home. www.alpineaccess.com

I do several things besides just Arise, but they are just spare time things.

Mturk.amazon.com In the past I've made good money but the items I see nowadays tend to suck and have pretty much stopped using it.

Buxr.com Razz Made about $85 my 1st month

instantcashsweepstakes.com just a time waster but fun and you can win a little weekly and daily drawings as well. (http://instantcashsweepstakes......link/30157 If you want to let me refer you. I'll get match of any prize you win).

A Blog with adsense and possibly some affiliate links.

www.homescan.com/ A service through Neilsons (yes the TV ratings people) You scan your purchases and send that information to them. You get points to purchase things from a catalog and sweepstakes entries.

Ebay/Craigslist Everyone has extra crap laying around they don't want/need.

e-rewards.com do surveys get "money" to purchase items from their catalog.

Go back to school! Financial aid if you qualify. Most classes you can do entirely online. Help for a real job be it IRL or online in the future.

I was just reading someones blog and there are a few websites that pay you to take surveys.

You have to sign up and they pay you per survey you take/complete.

If you do a lot of surveys the pay could add up.
