What's the best way to question a deal when you submit it?

submitted on February 11, 2011 by equipurple in "Buxr Website / Contests"
Two of the deals I posted today I was not sure if they were valid Buxr-postable deals. (As it turns out, one was rejected and one allowed.) As I was posting, I wanted to flag them for the admins to say that I was questioning their validity (while at the same time not losing my order in posting -- I know that debsfreebies and mommy25 are always waiting to pounce on any deal!).
So after posting, I flagged them as "updated" and added my comment of questioning the deal in that flag. Is that a good way to do that? Is there a better?

i have another question to go along with that one...

With this location setter, what if you don't know all the states it's in and the store locator page doesnt tell you this just by typing in your zip.

We are forced to make a choice so what is the best way to handle this?

I've already seen 1 deal posted today set at nationwide when it isn't.

Oh and now what is the criteria for making something nationwide since the other options allow for posting individual states.

If something is in 30 states can we declare it nationwide or do we have to check off the 30 state boxes?

I will answer this and other questions when I announce the deal availability functionality.

To answer your question, equipurple, no it is not a good way to do it. For now you will just have to send a link in a freedback message. If you choose "Deal Submission" in the "Regarding" drop down list then all admins will see it and someone will be able to answer it usually within an hour or so.

For future, we may add an option for power users to be able to hold a questionable deal in queue. This way admins can check it out before it goes out to the deals page.

You bring up some great questions! While additions are nice, it seems that no matter what the update/enhancement is, questions always come up Smile (Oh, BTW, of COURSE I am always waiting to pounce on a great deal, I'm a Buxarian, just like you!)
