Quartz recently posted a map of the U.S. showing which Starbucks creations people ordered in various parts of the country. http://qz.com/195631/what-peop.....ed-states/
Apparently Starbucks reviewed "hundreds of millions of transactions" to determine the results.
For example, people in Seattle, Boston, Memphis, and Minneapolis preferred dark brews; while those in New York, San Francisco, Portland, and Phoenix ordered medium; and in Chicago, Philadelphia, Denver, Tampa, San Antonio, and Charlotte light brews were most popular. Iced coffees sold better in southern California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida (but not in other southern states). Even Boston residents like iced coffee. But everywhere regular coffee was by far the most common order, and lattes a distant second.
Do you agree? Do the results accurately represent your area or personal preference?
