I was coming here to find deals before the prizes were offered, but I was not contributing to be perfectly honest. Heck, I was not even enrolled as a member. The incentive turned me into an active participant, as oppose to just a passive browser.
The answer your question fully, I don't know. I think at this point I would still contribute now and again, although almost certainly not daily as I do now.
Would anyone else care to comment, or am I going to be hanging out alone on this one?
I'm still one of those people who believe in helping others when possible. Whether it's holding the door for someone and 20 people come out w/o saying thank you, or posting as many deals as possible so that someone can save a few bucks. So, yeah I'd still post here w/o prizes. Even though this prize money will be very useful for my kids during Christmas. It's the act of helping one another. That's important.
I don't really buy much so I probably wouldn't be on BuxR that much. That was the only thing that actually got me on here. I check my email one day and it said I won $10 so from then on I started to do the contest and vote but not much else...
I would come for the deals and the freebies, but I would rarely post. The strategic advantage of buxr vs. other deal sites is its simplicity and elegance. The deals are real, they are straightforward, and NO SPAM. This is something GOOGLE and DRUDGE figured out early on and users have rewarded them.
If buxr becomes profitable its model could be sharing the revenue from ads with users and keeping the site simple, elegant, and free of clutter and spam. This will deliver the users who will deliver the deals which will create a positive feedback loop that is profitable for everyone.
Just comparing Buxr and Google sends shivers down my spine! We do hope Buxr becomes success and if / when it does you (our members) will be a big part of it!
