In regards to the second part of that comment, I figured it out a little over three weeks ago, and I've just been playing along until the confirmations came through, and to be courteous.

I'm glad somebody else has figured out that Midget is Overaged.

Thanks for letting me know. I kinda thought that but wanted to be sure. I'm glad the cheaters are getting called out but I'm so sick of the drama.

Excellent question, which I knew would be asked. Wink

      1. Thinking of Buxr, the site needed an additional person willing to post more deals, as the submission rate had begun to drop back off, and even more sharply recently. Naturally, I knew Overaged would be more than willing to oblige if the posting limit restriction was lifted.

      2. Being that Overaged had Power Status previously, I theorized that if nominated Admin would take the opportunity to re-grant that status to Overaged surprisingly quickly, thus helping to confirm the identity of the member in my mind. Additionally, even if I had been been wrong, it certainly would not have caused any direct harm, and would have made an actual new member feel welcomed into the community. Either way something would have come out of that scenario.

What I mean by "charade", is that it very clear now that quite a few people are aware of the name change, so there is no sense in approaching Midget (a.k.a Overaged) as a newbie anymore.

      I just read all this.

Yes I'm overaged. I reluctantly changed my id because it seems that overaged what on a s*** list. so i came back under a new id changing my attitude.

I'm not the only one here who has changed my id and those of you who have, know who I'm talking about.

I put up a lot of deals - some decent, some not so great according to the community.

I like buxr a lot or I wouldn't be here.

I consider you all here my friends and I hope you can forgive any behaviors I displayed in the past. I'm not such a mean person and if any of you try to get to know me I'm actually pretty nice.

Help me find the old discussion first, as I've been looking for about 20min now and can't locate it.

I know Emma123 and LadyZaxxon commented on it, but I don't remember the title or description, so searches are not helping to track it down. (Lets give credit to who figured it out first.) Big Grin

Excellent, now I can re-hash all of those wonderful and classic pirate jokes. Big Grin

If you had just pressed slightly more I most likely would have told you then, but as usual I could not miss the opportunity for a joke of some variety, and then nobody pressed the inquiry further.

I doubt anyone really cares at this point anyway, as that was ages ago by Buxr standards, and very few members are still actively around that even existed back then. (PS: You're welcome. Smile )

I knew it!!! I've got a few reasons as to why I knew this all along.

    1) It's very rare for a "new" member to all of a sudden hold a grudge against a diff member. Case in point: I was simply trying to figure this out >> http://www.buxr.com/deal/seven.....earch/sa20 and your response was that of a senior member would say, and after that, all my comments had a -neg put against them. Why would a newbie react like that? Then I thought of the little -neg war you had w/ Solstice.

    2) Certain deal descriptions were similar to what "overaged" would say.

    3) This one is Classic: Anytime someone would comment on "midgets" deals, you would TOTALLY take it out of proportion. No matter what it was, you would simply flip.

Here's my 2ยข:: I'm pretty sure noone here has a grudge against you. I personally can't stand LIARS & CHEATERS. That's just 2 thing in life I personally loathe. You don't fall into any of those categories. The only issue I had w/you Overaged was that you took things too personally. If I made a comment on your post it sure as hell wasn't to "attack" you. As a community we're expected to pick the worst & best deals out there and eliminate the "junk" from Buxr. Case in point: http://www.buxr.com/deal/karma.....f-10_35876 You and I both know this deal had "no value". It' an ongoing offer that only you posted on this site (3 times) but I decided to keep my mouth shut due to the fact that you would've blown up. Stuff like that is what I'm talking about. Noone is "attacking" you, we're simply trying to figure things out.

I would like you to understand that I personally don't have anything against you or any one else. We'll let bygones be bygones and go from there.

So, now that the cats out of the bag, hopefully everyone here can get along. Mike and Yan have eliminated the trash from Buxr and things seem to be going the positive way.

I'm with you on these 2 points and was so glad when the riff raff was finally eliminated. Although I'm pretty sure they'll be back.

I'm trying to change my attitude. I've got negged a couple times under this new id and didnt say anything.

I'm glad that you all think bygones should be bygones. And as Rodney King said: Can't we all just get along Big Grin

I'm with Steve on this issue, as I've always disliked brash responses from any member of that nature, but if you want want to start anew I'm willing to respect that and honor it as well.

If I may make a personal observation though, not meant to be of an attacking nature.

I'm all about voting for people who vote, and I've noticed you've started going back to being a late/last-minute voter. I generally restrain from giving votes to those kinds of members, so if you've gotten the impression that I'm avoiding your posts that is why. My point is that its certainly not anything directly personal, and more of a matter of how you're playing the Buxr game in general that really matters to me. I just consider it unfair game play to post but not vote.

Anyway, its good to have you back, and I'm glad to see you wanted to start anew. Smile

solstice, I vote on a lot of peoples deals. over 400 votes this month alone. I've always been a strong voter. But there are deals here that i don't think are deals at all no matter who posts them.

There are some people here who rarely vote on anyones deals. If you look at the contest page you can see the stats on everyone which I know you are aware of.

You are very opinionated - I am too. I just hope that you can respect my opinions just as you would like others to respect yours.

I will try not to lash out. And ya gotta give me kudos for the willingness to change. Big Grin

To clarify, I'm talking about voting on deals that were posted the same day as yours, and not just waiting until the next day. Its possible to vote a whole bunch, but always waiting until the last minute. It is not so much quantity as it is quality with voting that I'm trying to find personally.

Sorry, let me try to simplify all of that, as maybe I'm just being complicated and overly wordy.

I define a good, fair, and strong voter, as somebody who votes early for others when they post that same day. I think of a strong voter as one who gives precisely what they are seeking.

      You can vote.
      You can post and vote.
Just don't post, wait, and then vote.

If you vote earlier and a little more often, you'll find loads of support coming your way from me. Cool
