Can we assume your professor degree status was not in the subject English? Big Grin

(The word "congratulations" was originally misspelled, and instead was spelled "congradulations".)

I might have left it spelled the way it was, and then claimed it was only a bad pun for having "graduated" to professor status. Just a amusing thought. Big Grin

well, after your post, i looked in the dictionary and saw that I've been spelling it wrong for years.

It seems to be an accepted misspelling. So apparenlty I'm not the only one who does this

An "accepted misspelling"? I'm not familiar with that concept.

Does that mean if enough people spell a word wrong it makes it acceptable by default? Neutral

Don't get me wrong, I misspell words all the time, but the rationalization is not working for me.

It's accepted by society as a whole. Whether you accept it or not doesn't mean much to me. Wink

WOW! Here I was trying to have a reasonable discussion, and making light of a simple thing we all do as people. Glad I could help you fix that mistake you've been doing "wrong for years". Confused

FYI: Just because society accepts something does not make right. Food for thought.

No I'm done. She will neg one of my comments in retaliation to make herself feel better.
It happens every time, but maybe for once it will be different. We'll see...

Sorry, but Solstice is right. Misspelled is just wrong, not acceptable. By the way, there is a dotted red line that tells you society (or at least software dictionaries) find it wrong too.
