The Australian restaurant Wafu is kind of like a mother with a twist. When diners don't finish everything on their plates, they are asked not to come back, and there are other policies customers must adhere to.
Diners are asked to be mindful of the amount of food they order and to order just the right amount "in harmony with your appetite."
"Re-think what you use and waste!" Wafu's website pleads. "To find pleasure in our dishes is to finish the meal. Please don't leave anything on your plate."
"Please note that vegetables and salad on the side are NOT decorations, they are part of the meal too. Finishing your meal requires that everything is eaten except lemon slices, gari (sushi ginger) and wasabi."
Diners are asked to "order a little less in advance" or to bring a sturdy reusable container just in case.
Canadian Broadcasting Centre (CBC) reported that customers are offered a 30 percent discount to diners who eat all the food. If they do not finish it, they are not welcomed back.
