submitted on August 31, 2014 by HouTex in "Products / Gadgets"

Almost 8,000 cases of Kraft American Singles cheese slices are being recalled because a supplier didn’t store an ingredient properly. Kraft issued the voluntary recall because the improper storage temperature could lead to spoilage or food borne illness. It didn’t specify the ingredient that was improperly stored, and no illnesses have been reported yet.

The affected products include 7,691 cases of 4 varieties produced at Kraft’s Springfield, MO plant and sold in 12-, 16- and 64-ounce packages. They have "Best When Used By" dates of Feb. 20, 2015, and Feb. 21, 2015.
12 oz Kraft American Singles (16 slices)
16 oz Kraft American Singles (24 slices) (36 count case)
16 oz Kraft American Singles (24 slices) (12 count case)

Consumers who purchased any of these products should return them to the store for an exchange or full refund. They also can contact Kraft consumer relations at (800) 396-5512.
