This happens to me all the time, and I could never figure out what I was doing to get that fee. It's on my bill again this month I just checked. Guess verizon is getting a phone call from me, and I'm getting my $24 back.
Does unlimited data plan get rid of this problem? Otherwise, some people have suggested reprogramming the key that launches "Get It Now" to some other function. They report that the charges occur if you press OK accidentally when opening the flip style phone, and it automatically assumes you wanted "Get It Now." Buttons on the other style phones just get pressed banging around in a purse or pocket. My ringer volume gets muted all the time and I don't even know which button got pushed.
Yes the unlimited data does stop this $1.99 charge. I always hit the down arrow on my flip phone and it opens mobile web. I hit end before anything opens up, and I have been charged a $1.99 every month. Verizon did just credit me $5.97 for the past 3 months, but said they could not isssue credits on bills past 3 months. I had them block mobile web from my phone also.
