Verizon quietly scraps "New Every Two" credit

submitted on January 13, 2011 by siggy38 in "Stores / Merchants"

Verizon Wireless is getting stingier with the discounts it offers those who want to upgrade their smartphone. Evil

The company is ending its popular "New Every Two" program, which offers Verizon subscribers a credit of $30 to $100 toward a new phone every two years. As of Jan. 16, the company will stop offering the credit to new customers and won't re-enroll current customers in the program after their next New Every Two upgrade.

All I say is "just ask"! Loyal customers with Verizon get a pretty good deal, all ways and always.

Every time a customer upgrades his phone at a discount, there's a significant cost to the company. Ya right! Confused

Tell me about it. You know they're getting phones at cost -we're the ones paying the outrageous retail price for them.
