I am planning to visit Vegas for the first time later this year..

Can anyone share any tips on where to stay, what to see, what to do...

Or whatever else that can be helpful..

Thanks! Big Grin

Vectra, could you expand that title a bit.

One word is a bit vague.

Signup for GROUPON deals for VEGAS - can come in handy. Also visit forums for coupon codes on shows ( in case you plan to see some)

For hotel deals - look for coupon codes.

Since you are planning ahead in time - I think you should be able to get hold of some real sweet deals.

I highly recommend Cirque du Soleil shows. They can be a bit expensive but there is a place on the strip where you can get the tickets at half price. We went to Mystere a couple years back and it was the best show I have ever seen!

That's a great idea... I've seen a Cirque Du Soleil show in NY and it's definitely amazing! I am sure in Vegas it's even better..

Yan, how is your vacation by the way?

I went to their KA show and it was indeed mesmerizing. All the athletes are wonderful and display great talent. I would highly recommend any of Cirque du Soleil shows.

I recently saw the Elvis Cirque show and was surprised by the content. I felt like I was at a concert more than being at a Cirque du Soleil show. It was more singing and dancing than acrobats. If on a budget, Phantom of the Opera or Wynn's laReve usually have ticket discounts on line. I also used a booth called 1/2 price tickets (beside MGM in the coke bottle building or across from Wynn in the mall). They might not have the most popular shows at 1/2 price or even at all, but it is worth a try.

Did you book your flight and hotel yet, vectra5? If not, I just found a package deal from Southwest Airlines - see http://www.buxr.com/deal/south.....kage_58074
