Apparently my cell phone is worth $3.56, which is interesting.

Lmao. I think these programs are kind of ridiculous myself. I searched the ipod mini which i paid $200 for when they first hit the shelves years ago. Trade in value is $16.xx. For that it's not even worth the trade imo.

The ipod mini may not be the latest apple technology but it works and i use it as a back up when my other ipod is charging.

I figure its better than nothing, assuming it has no reasonable eBay value, and/or you don't want to deal with trying to sell it yourself.

I've been thinking about finally upgrading my phone, and to be honest I would probably take the $3.56 and be pleased to have gotten anything at all.

They will recycle it for you and pay the shipping, even if it has no trade-in value.

We have located your item in our database. Unfortunately it does not have any trade-in value, but don't send it to the landfill just yet. Simply indicate the quantity of items from the appropriate product category and click the "Recycle It!" button, and we'll generate a free shipping label for you so that we may recycle your device properly.

There are companies that will take your old phones abnd other items - recycle/refurbish them then give them to people who need them such as homes for abused women and the like.

right now I can't think of the orginizations that do this but it seems if you're only gonna get like $.00 for a product you may want to consider those orgs.

Maybe someone will look up those places that do this....

This is good for older gadgets. eBay is best if the thing you try to get rid of is still in good shape and has all the documentation and accessories that normally come with it
