Lucky guys who bought the 16 or 32 GB TouchPad after June 19, from bestbuy, they will get a refund of the difference between the price they paid and the clearance price. I ordered 2 from office max on saturday...the first order was canceled, and the 2nd order I placed just shipped this morning. Still waiting on tracking from the 1 I placed from HP academy.

People stormed a local Best buy in DC area and caused an earthquake . TouchPads are to blame

Officemax just called. They have enough to fill cancelled/backorders orders. Anyone that ordered from officemax should call, or even if you didn't maybe you can get put on a secondary list should they have people that do not call to verify their original order(they only gave me two days).

My question again is one we discussed back in the summer. Is the HP Touchpad a great device or only a great device at firesale price levels. Would you buy this at $300? I suppose if you need a desktop or laptop it is not a bad add-on at $150. Are vendors taking advantage of the firesale-based product excitement and forgetting (or trying to dupe the consumer) that the pricepoint was leading sales, not the product?
