Does anyone else miss the keyboard key for the cent symbol? I sure do!
Typewriters (remember those relics?) had them but computer keyboards don't. If you're really determined to have a cent symbol in your deal, and aren't able to find one to copy and paste, there are ways to create that symbol. So you can have "1¢" instead of "$0.01."
On a PC, you'll have to first press the NUMLOCK key, then hold down the ALT key and type "0162" on the numeric keypad. Mac users can simply hold down their "⌥" Alt/Option key + the number "4" at the same time. It's a little bit of trouble to remember the keystrokes, but (I think) worth it.
PC users can also download Allchars, a free open source application for Windows from http://allchars.zwolnet.com/
, but so far I haven't seen anything similar for the Mac OS.
