Hot or Not?

The way store names are posted in deals.

submitted on August 25, 2010 by mooncow728 in "Buxr Website / Contests"
A lot of times deals are posted as either the website name or store name. I find this a little confusing when trying to search for duplicates as you have to search multiple ways to make sure you find the deal and sometimes you still don't.

To make things easier I was thinking that maybe a new rule could be implemented that allowed one or the other. Even if it's online only the store still has a name outside of their url, and most stores nowadays have websites, so I don't see it being an issue. What do you guys think?
1. Do you find it confusing or irritating to search for duplicates now?
2. If it were to become a new rule, which would you rather see?
 Store Name
 Website URL
I don't really care either way.

I've actually just recently started searching for the actual code and not the store name because of this very issue. I also sometimes go to the coupon page of the merchant and search for the code there.

Just FYI, for known merchants searching the store name will fetch the deal even if it is missing or misspelled in the deal title. This is because search takes into account the store name included in parenthesis after title.

I only find it irritating when I want to post something and I have to search the discussions and the deals. I wish their was a universal buxr site search that would check everywhere.

The one merchant I find impossible to search is e.l.f. because of the variations and the abbreviated form doesn't translate into search. Other than that I search codes on coupons and don't seem to have too many problems with duplication.
