The most deadliest jobs of America

submitted on August 30, 2010 by outcastplo313 in "Member's Lounge"
This article really caught my attention because I don't really think its accurate except for the Pilot and some others. I think there could be more dangerous jobs listed instead of some they have on there especially Fire fighters.

What job do you think is the most dangerous or deadly Question

I was a paramedic and thought that was one of the most dangerous jobs..just like a fire fighter in so many ways. Can't tell you how many times I've been on the side of the interstate, tending to a victim and have almost been hit!

I can't even imagine something like that happening because I've never been in a situation like that beforenbut I know how dangerous it can get.

I can't believe coal miners aren't on the list. That has got to be one of the most dangerous!

I thought about them too! Teachers should be on too considering the # of times I've been hit, kicked, spit at, had a desk thrown at, etc. LOL

      lol so true Deby!
I remember at my school they were so brutal towards the teachers. When they punched they would go out of control and hit anyone in front of them.

I used to teach 6th grade "Alternative Education." In other words, kids who didn't fit into any other category like learning disabled, varied exceptionalities, emotionally handicapped, etc. or the parents wouldn't allow testing & they were failing. Some had severe behavior problems & very low I.Q.s. I had the desk thrown at me when I was 8 months prego w/Noah! When I went on maternity leave for a yr, they couldn't find a replacement! 5 subs tried & quit! They had the a.p in for a while & she couldn't take it! I had them under control w/a phone that could outcall their parents on my desk & boy, DID I USE IT, every day! (That was 1 of my conditions for teaching the class.) They became afraid of the beatings they would get when they went home & behaved for me. Others that followed were just as afraid of the parents as the children & they wouldn't call. Their mistake! They shut down the class until I got back! LOL

I second that... Wow!!!! Being a teacher these days is not how it used to be. Teachers definitely need to get paid more!!!
