Hot or Not?

Target 5% Back Debit Card (in-Store)

Anyone signed up for the Target 5% back debit card? You bring in a blank check (to sign up) and they link the debit card back to your checking account. You get 5% back after each use. I am considering signing up because I use my bank debit card there anyway. Anybody care to share pro's or con's?

I don't know if this matters to you, but one thing I noticed about it is that the Target Credit Card and Target Visa Credit Card can be used in-store and online, but in the small print it says that the Target Debit Card cannot be used online. Otherwise, I think they all offer the same benefits.

Yes I saw that! I like the fact that I can get 5% back on their debit card. I don't care about the online thing. Thank you HouTex! I will let everyone know about the outcome.

It was quite easy to join. Make sure you bring a check for the debit card sign up. You will input information in to the terminal. You have to provide your social and show your driver's license. 5% discount does not apply to the following: Prescriptions (They have another reward program for that)Target Optical eye exams, Target gift cards & prepaid cards, Target Credit card payments, gift wrap, shipping and Target Commercial interiors.
