Takeover Rumors for RIM by Lenovo and Dell by Microsoft

Rumors circulating in the news the last few days include the possibility of Lenovo acquiring the maker of Blackberry, and Microsoft contributing to a buyout that will take the Dell company private.

What do you think? Good matches or bad investments?

PC manufacturing giant Lenovo may be mulling a bid for Research in Motion as part of efforts to bolster its own smartphone unit.
Lenovo already has a range of Android-based smartphones out on the market, with plans to dish out a Windows Phone 8 handset, as revealed at the recent CES 2013 show.

A vibrant Dell is an important part of Microsoft’s plans to make Windows more relevant for the tablet era, when more and more devices come with touch screens. Dell has been one of the most visible supporters of Windows 8 in its products.
