Submitting multiple codes for same discount

submitted on March 2, 2014 by equipurple in "Member's Lounge"
Hello Buxrites, been a while, but I am back for now. Big Grin I saw a discussion about entering links to additional similar printable coupons in the comments of an existing deal rather than as a new deal. I agree that it serves the shopper and buyer better that way.
Does the same go for codes? If there is submitted deal for a 15% off code of SAVE15 from whateverstore.com, should the deal for the code 15OFF from whateverstore.com with the same expiration be submitted as a comment on the original deal or as a separate deal?

If the former, should a user report it as a duplicate?

Glad to see you back! Smile

No, definitely not duplicate. It is OK to submit as a separate deal.

If discount and terms are the same then I think it makes a lot of sense to post as a comment, just flag the deal as updated so an admin or power user can update the deal to include the code in the proper field.

So, the bottom line is, either way is OK.
