Best Buy released their free mIQ wireless sync solution last month. The promotional information says that you can take your phone to Best Buy and ask an associate to install it for you. As soon as installation is complete, the phones contacts, calendar, text messages, and call log are backed up to the mIQ servers. It also uploads pictures and videos all in the background. Check it out at http://www.miqlive.com/
About the same time, Microsoft launched their similar My Phone app. Reviewers said the value of these apps are more for the management than the backup capability. I guess which one you choose really depends more which phone you have than how good they are. The fact that the My Phone web site is advertising-supported certainly turns off most people. Has anybody tried either one yet?
