Sick of people starting arguments over deals

submitted on July 22, 2009 by mooncow728 in "Member's Lounge"
I just have to say that there are a few people on here that tend to argue constantly over deals on here. I just don't understand it. We should be able to give our opinions on certain deals to let other users know how we feel without getting attacked. I haven't had a problem recently that is making me write this but I have noticed quite a few things that makes me not want to add my 2 cents to certain deals. Alot of the comments by people are just trying to say that in their opinion something is not a good deal and it's nothing against the submitter things just happen sometimes. Is there anybody else that has noticed this, or is it just me? I would love to find a way for everyone to be able to get along and help eachother out. While I know this is never going to be entirely possible, any suggestions that could help?

Yea I know it isn't but man it is so annoying. I just don't quite understand it. I'm just hoping to maybe find some sort of solution. I'm sure a lot of people on here would be happier then.

You're one of the people I noticed getting argued with a lot and I don't understand that. From what I've noticed in the few months I've been here is that you submit quality deals and you don't vote down things just for the heck of it. And the comments that people have argued with you about seem to be honest opinions...

i don't know if there is a solution since you really can't control others people feelings, opinions or otherwise.

Its all been said, ignored, re-hashed, talked about, forgotten, and ultimately nothing has changed.

Its the same story that has its always been, and having been here a very long time you can trust me on that. The only thing that has changed is that many of the good people have left, having simply gotten fed up with it, and as a result, what has filled the void are those those that are willing to be selfish, start unfounded arguments, abuse both site and members, take rash actions, and generally act like [Insert unpleasant term of your choice.], as well as corrupt the newly initiated through their own actions and the examples that they create. Therefore, it has been more prevalent that usual on Buxr as of late.

However, a few of the good people have stayed on, and sometimes a new one comes along to swell those ranks, so I'm hoping that some time in the near future balance will be restored, and that well see a little more harmony than harm being distributed among members.

Well said, as usual. But when we stop giving away cash prizes and replace them with free hugs and kisses all problems will be resolved. Big Grin

I am a believer that active members with positive attitude have the best chance at winning the contests. The web is a digital copy of real life. Many of the people who vote for your deals are same members day in and out and you need to gain their trust and respect to get noticed. So it is not all about how hot your deal is, it probably never is

I just think people shouldnt attack others or accuse them of misleading a person when thats not the case. Alot of people on here seem to jump at the chance to say why someone else's deal is so horrible and I really believe that has alot to do with the daily prizes. I for one do not put deals up here to win money. Since I have started using Buxr I have saved a ton of money on clothes, toys, and electronics for my kids. I post deals that I think could save money for another family as many of you have done for me and my family. I love the Buxr website for 1 reason and thats because it helps me spoil my little boys rotten not because I might win $10 bucks today.

Can you please remove this for me? If I accidently won anything for it I would feel horrible over my mistake and I would most likely be the most hated person on Buxr. Sad

      P.s. It was totally unintentional

Naaahhh... I don't think we would start to hate you for that, maybe a few days of deep seeded loathing, but definitely not hate. Big Grin <--- This means I'm making a joke.

Good to see another member on board who has a conscience and seems to care though.

Exactly my point KC!!! I'm so glad other people feel the same way. It annoys me to see people fight over dumb things. It's nice to save a buck and possibly make a buck in the process, don't get me wrong, but ultimately that's not why I'm here, or why anyone should be here for that matter. I know some people are very competitive but it's not like you could ever win enough on here to quit your day job lol. Heck even if you took every prize, everyday how could you not spend it on the good deals you find here. Big Grin I just wish we could all get along and realize the reason we should be here: to help eachother save money.

A little firewood, one or two good rounds of Kum-Ba-Yah, and I think were set! Big Grin

That was a pretty good sum-up of how things should be on Buxr Mooncow, thanks!
