Has anyone heard of SavingStar? You can join for free. https://savingstar.com/how_it_works

You select coupons and link them to your loyalty cards. But you don't see the savings at checkout, they accumulate in your account until you reach a minimum of $5 and request a payout. You can get paid via bank deposit, Paypal or Amazon gift card, or donation to charity. You can enter your zip code at https://savingstar.com/ to see which stores in your area are participating.

I wonder if the coupon variety they have is the same or worse than in the Sunday newspaper...

CVS and Jewel Osco are the only two stores in my area that they work with

I think the variety is probably worse than the Sunday inserts. The only reviews I can find are on the Android app page, and they are mixed. People are happy enough with the app itself, but complain about the low number of coupons available so far. Personally, I'd rather get the "instant gratification" of reducing my grocery bill by the value of the coupons than accumulate credit in my account. In my area they only support Kroger and CVS.

I look forward to my Sunday morning with my cup of coffee, looking at the paper for deals and various coupons! Besides I can't afford a "Droid."

All you need for this (if you choose to use it) is the participating store loyalty card. The Android app market was just the only place I found any reviews.
