Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

We are so sorry, but due to the overwhelming response to our FREE Kentucky Grilled Chicken™ meal coupon, we can no longer redeem the free coupon at this time. But we will honor our commitment to giving you a free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal.

Please visit a participating KFC restaurant for a rain check form. Complete the form, attach your original coupon , and give it to the KFC restaurant manager or postmark per the form’s instructions, by May 19, 2009, and we’ll send you a rain check for your free Kentucky Grilled Chicken meal at a later date, plus a free Pepsi with our compliments. Your participating KFC restaurant will provide you with the form you need.

Please note that the redemption periods of the rain checks will vary. All other terms and conditions of the original free Kentucky Grilled Chicken coupon will apply.

Thank you for your understanding,

Roger Eaton
KFC® President

I just mailed mine in (not sure if I trust the local KFC to carry through and send it to corporate) so we'll see if they will honor their promise to send me my rain checks.

My local KFC did not even tell me I could mail it in myself, and implied that they had to take the form and coupon at the counter. Honestly, I'm not holding my breath. Evil

Mine tried to tell me the same thing. They said they'll hold on to my original coupons while I filled out the form. Only after I reminded them I had the option to mail it in did they relinquish the rebate forms. (And yes, I had to ask for my original coupons back because they "forgot" to give it back to me)

That looks like the form I filled out. Except, the originals that I got had grey on many of the areas (not sure if this makes a difference or not when you submit the form)so it wasn't so black and white.

It also has the address where you can send the forms+original coupons.

So I got my coupon in the mail last week. It's not valid until early August. I hope I don't lose it or forget to redeem it.

I got mine too. It was a bad idea for KFC to have that coupon oplen for so long.

I finally got mine as well about a week ago, however there are specific dates that they can be used on. Mine are only valid from 07/06/09-7/20/09. I wonder if different dates exist, and KFC is spreading out the cost hit by allotting different date periods.

I got mine - 1 each for the 3 people in my family. Two are valid on the same date range and the other one is for a different date range. That sucks since now we can't have our free meals together.

We used some of the coupons this past week. I doubt the fine people working at K F'ed Up even look at the dates on these.

They said they would stagger the dates, so that the stores wouldn't have such a run on the chicken.

Mine are dated 7-20 til 8-3. Not sure I'll use them now, since the effing grilled chicken has beef products in them so we can't eat them. Maybe I'll get them for my husband's grandmother and my parents.

Leighbra: Really? I didn't know that they mix beef in the grill chicken at KFC. Are they like pressed minced meat patties?

no, they season them with "beef powder" which I assume is like beef bouillon? And then they use rendered beef fat to keep to keep them moist and the skin crispy in the baking process.

Crazy beef allergy in the house, so it's been banned. Which is okay, because we live near that farm where they found BSE (Mad Cow...) in that cow from Canada a couple years back, and my husband has some nasty heart disease in his family.
