, but I thought it was worth repeating today to make sure no one's personal information is at risk. I hope you find this helpful.
When you take advantage of Facebook offers for a coupon, sample or freebie, you are sharing your personal information through their app when it's associated with your account. Now that we know some recent offers are scams, you will want to remove that application from accessing your profile. This process will also give you an opportunity to review all the apps linked to your account and remove the ones you either don't want or don't recognize.
1. Click 'Account' at the top right of your Facebook profile page.
2. Choose 'Application Settings' from the drop down menu.
3.Click on the "x" link on the far right next to any company application to remove them from accessing your profile. Be sure to click and sort by "Authorized" to see all of them.
4. You can edit the settings of the apps you keep.
5. The privacy settings can be modified. You do not
want to allow "friends of friends."
