Hot or Not?
Regarding Cheating in General and Chinnam Specifically
Others have finally chosen to speak, and so I know I will join them.
I will only make this one statement on this issue, but I will try to be as clear as possible.
To begin with, I will no longer be voting for those who elect to cheat and attempt to rig the contest. Although, I will acknowledge that many newbies to the site tend to attempt his at least once, being tempted by the human fallacy of greed. To them I will show some voting leniency, but only for their first offense, and if it is close to their date of initiation to Buxr before having an opportunity to fully understand how Buxr works. (This means that if I am voting for you, that I do not presently believe you to be cheating.)
This policy stems from a persistent pattern of cheating by certain users. This behavior has come to greatly damage the integrity and community of Buxr. To attempt to cheat during the contests, is not only an insult to the community, but also to the site and its creators. It can no longer be tolerated.
Those who have cheating consistently for the past few months, as well as those who have more recently joined them, should now be ostracized from the site to maintain its integrity, and also to benefit the community contained therein. Therefore, I encourage others to join me in this action.
To be more specific, Chinnam, as far as I am concerned your time here is over, and you can take your troop of cheating friends with you. You will never receive another vote from me, nor will any of your friends, unless you elect to meet the following criteria.
1. You admit your wrongdoing.
2. You present a written humbling and sincere sounding apology to the entire community in the discussion forum. (Consider getting someone to help you, as your syntax and grammar is problematic.)
3. You fully disclose the user names of all your cheating friends that you are clearly in contact with through other means, and/or acknowledge which ones are in fact you simply using alternate computers. Any attempt to implicate the innocent will negate this generous offer in entirety.
(I already know who all of them, if not most of them are, so this is for the community's benefit.)
4. You vow to never cheat again in the future under penalty of ostracism, with no chance for forgiveness, pardon, reprieve, or opportunity to be reintegrated back into this community in the fullest sense.
This offer is also contingent on those users being disbanded and with them ceasing their current cheating activity.
I’m not alone in this, so it would be best to consider your options carefully on this matter. I cannot speak for others in terms of how they choose to vote, but these are the conditions that must be met to regain at least my vote, and it may or may not be enough to regain the votes of others, as well as to be welcomed back into the community in full.
Keep in mind that there are still more of us total than you have cheating friends, so you will be finding it more difficult to win daily contests, and by proxy the monthly ones, from here on out until the foresaid conditions are met. (Think… Last month you won 22 daily contests through cheating, but this month you won only 5 daily contests even with cheating. This should tell you something about the voting power of this community and our level of tolerance for cheating.)
