question about clicking through to a merchant

submitted on April 3, 2015 by mdshopper1 in "Buxr Website / Contests"
i have a question about clicking through to shop at a merchant site. does it help buxr if i go through a deal link to enter a merchant site, but NOT use any particular deal. in other words, if i just want to buy something online should i still go through buxr to get to the merchant?

Yes, and I am talking about a limited number of merchants, it helps if you click through a Buxr link. If Buxr is affiliated with the merchant we will receive a small percentage of the sale, typically 1 to 3 percent, sometimes up to 5. This revenue is what finances the cash prizes.

thanks yan....that is very good to know....now i just have to REMEMBER to do it! Cool
now, if there is no current or old deal to click through, is there any other way to get to the merchant via buxr?

Search for the merchant/store, go to the page that shows their profile/coupons and click on the logo to the right. If Buxr is affiliated with the store then a percentage of the purchase you do after it will go to Buxr account. You should not click to links on other deal site in between, or the transaction will not be properly recorded.

I know some of the other sites I use, certain stores do not give rebates, so when they are not listed:
    Hollister
    SkinCareRx
    Dick's Sporting Goods
and others, I find a deal, current or expired to click through on buxr. Sometimes too, the rebate is so small, it is not worth it.

    Great thread Exclaim
Been wondering that myself, trying to look through the WIKI for answers.
Yeah, now the hard part is REMEMBERING, so I put a BUXR link on my homepage. Helps me remember to come here and vote, etc. as well. Smile

What, you are not addicted to just checking in all day long like the rest of us - you need a reminder?? Wink

Great, this is very good to know. I think YanBz, Admin and Senior members who have information like these should put them out more often as a reminder and also for new members to know. This will help to build BUXR stronger.

i agree version. i also feel like they should add straight click through links for the merchants, if possible.

BTW, I assume you don't have to be signed in at the time; or do you?
Does that mean ANYONE wandering on the site & your buddies that aren't BUXERS can click through and it would still count 💲 Question
