Problems with deal submission?

submitted on October 6, 2009 by midget in "Member's Lounge"
I tried like 4 times to make a deal with Graveyard Mall as a coupon.

Everytime i got to almost the end it kept changing my deal from a coupon to a product.

But the deal wasn't for a single product it was for a bunch of items with a coupon code.

I even tried to enter it as a sale and it still wanted me to make it a "product" deal.

Is this a default for this store?

I don't think it's unique to this particular store, it has happened to me with others. It seems to be related more to which specific page you choose, like an item or the results of a search. I found that if I chose the home page or the page right before my original choice, the "sale" type would stay and not revert back to "product." This is only my observation, if you are still working on your deals and it will help you sooner to get them to work. I'm sure that Yan can tell us tomorrow more specifically why this happens, and I'd like to learn more about it too!

It depends on the URL you choose for your deal. When you submit a deal, Buxr will try to parse out 'product identifier' from the URL you use. If such identifier is found then it will turn your submission to a product. If not then whatever submission type you pick will stay.

It works great in most cases but can be inaccurate for certain merchants. If this happens to you then submit as 'product' and flag as 'inaccurate'. Shawn or me will come around to fix it as soon as we can
