Pro Tip: Do Not Buy An iPad From A Dude In A McDonald’s Parking Lot Permalink

submitted 270 days ago by jack69darin in "Products / Gadgets"
Hmm, would you buy an ipad in a parking lot for $180.00?

The iPad is an awesome device, but it costs money. Even second-hand models often command more than a new Android tablet. They’re just that much in demand. But look, if a guy, moreover a guy with as the police report states has visible gold tooth, says he’s selling iPads he purchased in bulk for $300, takes $180 instead, you better check that product out before you drive home. This is unfortunately the sad story of how Ashley McDowell was scammed into buying a wooden iPad.

    1) I can't believe someone would be so stupid.

    2) I can't believe the crooks took so much time trying to make a wooden block look like an iPad. Shoot that's $180 worth of work! lol Big Grin

I have sold stuff to people ( met form Craigslist ) - many times people don't bother to check what's inside the box. Sold a PS3 once - person never checked the box. Just said - thanks and walked off. I guess people trust.

Yeah I used to have that problem all the time. Lately though I have been making people open the item and test it before leaving so they don't come crying to me if it doesn't work later. People in my area have been horrible with returning stuff to stores lately and alot of local stores have made their return policy so it's practically impossible to return anything. I just don't want an angry person knocking at my door later because I would never sell something without telling the full truth.
