What determines the "popularity" of a deal? The number of times it is viewed?

Yes, we track both the number of times a deal is viewed and number of clicks on the deal to go to the deal at the merchant/store. We then use a formula that produces 0 to 4 stars based on these two numbers. If you are interested I can describe exactly the formula currently used to come with the popularity stars.

It will not always be the same however. The goal is to keep things in proportion, so we have a certain number of deals with 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 stars. Call it normalizing results. The idea here is that the absolute numbers are not important, it is how these numbers compare to each other for different deals is what makes sense. As Buxr gets more popular (hopefully) we will be adjusting the formula to keep things in proportion.
