Plum District Refunds Customers After Digital Doorstep Declares Bankruptcy

submitted on January 19, 2012 by HouTex in "Sales / Promotions"
Digital Doorstep has declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy and stopped the processing of code requests that were sold on daily deal sites. If you purchased any deal that they have not fulfilled, you should return to the website you purchased your product from and they will either issue you a full refund or deliver the product to you directly.

Plum District announced on January 18, 2012 that it is fully refunding all customers who were unable to fulfill their recent purchases offered through Digital Doorstep.

Plum District grew increasingly concerned with Digital Doorstep's severe difficulties in processing and fulfilling customer orders for the Starbucks/Fandango and Target/ gift cards, and filed a lawsuit for breach of contract earlier this week. In light of Digital Doorstep's announcement of their Chapter 7 bankruptcy filing this morning, the company chose to refund all remaining unfulfilled purchases to ensure that all customers will be made whole.

These are two of the deals:

$25 Target Gift Card Plus $50 Gift Card

$20 Starbucks Gift Card and 2 Fandango Movie Tickets for $28

There were similar deals offered by Saveology, but those were not posted on Buxr.

If you purchased one of these vouchers, you should contact the daily deal site immediately for a refund. Alternatively you can enter the redemption code for Digital Doorstep on this page - - and Digital Doorstep will forward your product request to the appropriate daily deal site from which it was purchased.
