PLEASE Fix Your Crappy, Half-@$$ed Descriptions...

submitted on December 15, 2013 by Goofy_Girl in "Buxr Website / Contests"
Haha, no, I'm not talking about ALL of you. And I'm not even really talking about the newbies here because they are still learning.

I'm talking about the LONG-TIMERS that KNOW what they are doing. I'm sick of it. Actually, I was sick of it about a month after I joined. Several of them have greatly improved their listing descriptions.

However, a couple of them continue to ignore the rules most of the rest of us have to follow. They have the list of exclusions, restrictions, more complete IMPORTANT information that SHOULD be put in their postings, but don't. Their reasons could be time, laziness, so they could list more deals, so their deals would somehow look better than others without so many restrictions, etc., etc.

Because of that, it makes the already unlevel playing field here at BUXR worse. And it sometimes makes shopping a pain in the @$$.

Of course, you could point it out in the posting, but some people cannot handle constructive criticism and you might be in for a backlash.

So, what do you do?
Gee, if there was a simple, private way to alert the mods, that would be great! Smile

I remember your comments on deals to describe and put exclusions to clarify the deal. You are right the deal description should be explanatory and any additional terms and condition with exclusions can be placed in comments.
But sometimes what I feel is fine in case of instore coupon deal to provide main points in description and rest can be read from the coupon itself... Big Grin

sometimes there is not enough space in the 2 available boxes to put all of the exclusions that may apply. i know i try to put the ones i deem "most important" as visible. i dont think it is that difficult to check on the actual deal by clicking the link.
i have not been here THAT long, but sometimes the "rules" are not that clear or there are not too many easy ways to ask questions of the moderators, but i know i TRY to do my best. Mr Green Mr Green
