Opinions on where to get invitations printed

submitted on July 31, 2009 by kc1209 in "Member's Lounge"
Ok here is the deal. I paid a graphic designer to create my kids' birthday party invitations, all I wanted was for her to design it and then I could get them printed somewhere else to save a little money. I am trying to print them cheap as possible but I do not want them looking cheap. I heard Artscow had very good prices but that they were slow when it came to shipping. Anybody with any advice or experience using any companies that do this please let me know what you think.

Ps She will be done creating them by Sunday and I have to have them back by the end of August.

Artscow is hard to beat on price, but I believe that their product is of very good quality. My wife and I purchased a photo book for her mother's b-day and it turned out to be a fantastic gift -her mom loves it. I've ordered quite a few different products from them and it normally takes about 7-10 business days to receive an order after it has been placed.

One of my secrets is to always design the graphic with correct dimensions that can be printed onto 4x6. Make sure it's a high res file. Then all I do is upload it to a photo site and pay the regular price for prints, around $0.13- $0.15. Sometimes when you sign up, you get up to 50 free prints and that can help cover the cost as well.
