A lot of things probably won't go anywhere for years. Landline phones are one that definitely won't. With the fact that cell phones do lose service occasionally and drop calls, there are many people that won't ever switch over. Businesses won't either probably because it would be a lot more expensive.

Then things like music cds, and business cards, and movie stores won't completely disappear because there are way too many people that don't use the internet at all. I would say it will be another 10 years or so before this stuff will be done away with.

Oh and if remote controls actually were to go away I would cry!!!! I don't have a smart phone, don't plan on getting one anytime soon but have a ton of electronics. My kids steal my phone all the time and luckily haven't thrown it in the toilet yet but it will happen. If they throw a remote in the toilet, a lot cheaper to replace. So by having 10-15 remote controls, I'm giving my kids lots of other small things that they can flush and hopefully keeping them away from my phone! Mr Green

We use our fax machine almost daily, we don't all have a connection to our scanner so it's just easier when we need to send our signatures on orders, etc.

We def use our landline phone every day..... not all businesses can use a cell phone.

Some of these things just won't go away in the business world... you'd have to kill out the older crowd completely for that to even come close to happening

As long as my car holds out, I will keep my CDs. I gotta have my tunes in the car! I also have to have my audio books when I drive long distances. I also will have the lighters....I don't smoke, but I use my lighter and my two aux ones for my 2 cell phones (1 is business) radar detector and since I drive everyday, I don't want to have to stop to charge devices.
