If you are upgrading to the new Apple iPad or iPhone 4G, the move to a new format for the SIM card is probably a surprise. The old SIM (a 15 x 25mm plastic card) doesn't fit in these new devices; they now require the new MicroSIM (also known as a 3FF SIM - a smaller 12 x 15mm card).
