submitted on September 22, 2011 by orangearrows in "Stores / Merchants", last updated on September 23, 2011 by HouTex

A new wireless carrier is reportedly coming to the US on September 26 and it could be called Personalized Wireless. A short ad aired recently hinting at the mysterious new carrier, touting a service that will be different, that will adapt to you, quietly bringing apps, rewards, and “stuff that’s just right for you.”

Now the page at http://personalizedwireless.com/ says
Cellular South will become C Spire Wireless -
      here's the press release, http://personalizedwireless.co.....elease.pdf

C Spire Wireless will officially launch operations on Monday, September 26, as the nation’s first and only wireless provider to introduce personalized wireless services. By recognizing that customers are individuals with their own interests and wireless needs, the company, formerly Cellular South, will o er unique and game-changing products and services that adapt to customers, understand who they are and are designed just for them.

They plan to offer a one-of-a-kind Percs program, which gives customers and non-customers rewards just for the things they do, like sharing their views on our community social forum, joining our Scout program, and for being a loyal customer.

With C Spire, customers will be able to control a variety of devices wirelessly, including computers, TVs, DVRs, digital cameras and even cars and refrigerators in the near future – creating the total multi-screen experience.

      Another press release says
New C Spire services will come at no additional charges to current Cellular South subscribers, that C Spire will offer plans with "infinite data" —which it turns out isn't quite the same as unlimited, in regard to streaming data — and that the carrier is working to roll out a 4G LTE network on the 700MHz spectrum.

Expect more information on Monday when the cspire.com site — said to offer a very app-like experience — goes live.

With that coverage map, looks like Verizon launched a new prepaid service
