Buxr Feature Request: New Sort Option

On the home page http://www.buxr.com/ you can sort by time listed, number of votes, or popularity by clicking at the top of each column. You can choose to view the results for 1 to 5 days.

Thank you this is a great view to know about. I forgot a Popularity sort was there. Could a Popularity sort option also be added to the "Customize the view" "Sort by" drop down option? I think it would be helpful when you view the specific categories to have a popularity option in the drop down. For example you could see at a glance what the most popular freebie is.

Popularity is a very short lived characteristic of a deal. It only makes practical sense in the first day or two after submission, and then gradually becomes meaningless as older deals inevitably decrease in popularity over time. Considering this and the fact that we already have the sorting on the home page, I don't think the feature you ask for will be added any time soon. It just seems like one of those things that will have marginal value but will take a considerable effort to add.
