"New" Dog Tags for the Digital Age!

Top Tag is a computer friendly ID tag that allows your pet’s rescuer to detach and place the tag into any computer that has a USB port. Your contact information will then download onto the computer screen. Several screens allow you to also store vital and life-saving care information on the tag, which you can enter and edit easily. The tag comes in a durable waterproof case; no batteries required. Full one-year warranty. 1 ½” L x 1” W.

Think this type of product will catch on? Or just a gimmicky item?

I would worry about the tag coming off and getting lost. Our dogs are so active, they sometimes lose the regular tags, and this one is detachable.

Never mind dogs, why not for people? Download your medical history in the ER.

Now that's a good idea. It would certainly contain more information than an ID bracelet for medical conditions.
