Netflix Loses Showtime Shows 'Dexter,' 'Californication'

Hope this is not a trend and NETFLIX can stem this flow of losing shows.

Netflix will soon lose the rights to stream Showtime's original series "Dexter," "Calilfornication" and others.

According to the L.A. Times, Showtime Networks has renegotiated its contract with Netflix and, as of summer 2011, the cable channel's currently-airing original programming will be available only on Showtime's official online streaming service.

    Thanks for the notice. Gonna have to catch up on Californication. Just started watching the show and it's so funny.

      Well Netflix has become a major player - channels and broadcasters are getting wary of it.

    Are they not getting a new exclusive show with Kevin Spacey in it? That probably triggered off such a reaction
