Yan's comment about Lemonade Day got me thinking about years ago when a group of our friends used to seek out a different silly holiday to celebrate every single day. There are many, many lists posted on the Internet and I'll bet most of them are not really official. But we sure had a lot of fun with the idea.
Here's a link to a list for National Food Holidays (like we ever needed any excuse to eat, right?) - http://www.theonlinerecipebox......-holidays/
The Online Recipe Box site says it wants to to inspire food lovers everywhere to celebrate a food holiday each day, featuring only the most family friendly food holidays so all can participate. Some of the entries also include a recipe, like today for National Oatmeal Cookie Day. Another list says today is National Raisin Day. Close enough for me.

the next time you need an excuse to celebrate.
