MyBestFit’s Full-Body Scanner Tells You What Size Clothing to Shop For

submitted on May 11, 2011 by sandyshore in "Products / Gadgets"
Are you a size 2, 4 or 8?

The machine operates much like the new airport scanners but without the pat-downs and see-through technology. You step into a circular booth, fully dressed, and wait as the scanner takes about 200,000 measurements in 360 degrees using low-power radio waves. The numbers are translated into personalized shopping guides for your body size and shape. A kiosk next to the scanner then spits out a list based on the style, size, or brand you’re interested in. MyBestFit’s database currently includes about 50 retailers, including Old Navy, Eddie Bauer, and Talbots.

This sure would make online clothes shopping more accurate.

Right now, there's only one at King of Prussia mall in PA. I hope they bring them to TX soon. That sounds awesome and includes a lot of good brands...

Yes, I had gone to their facebook page to see what new information they have... They are trying to start on the East Coast and go from there, they just had a giveaway at the King of Prussia Mall Mother's Day weekend.

It sure would be nice if it shows you the correct size in multiple brands. I have a pair of jeans and a pair of capris that fit the same yet are 4 sizes different. I hate how different brands can change the size so much.
