Monopoly... Cat Lover edition! REALLY?

submitted on December 9, 2009 by WhattaDealBlog in "Products / Gadgets"

This is a real item and sold at legit companies not just wackjob pet surplus locations (sorry wackjobs). Monopoly has really went a step to far here. Board games are for kids and family fun... Not so the 60 yr old down the block can play games with her 74 cats.

Also... the link above has the best price on the game I've found! (your welcome wackjobs)

I'm not sure there is even an accurate count of exactly how many versions of Monopoly do exist. One site claims there are 1775 worldwide, regional and localized licensed versions. On eBay there are currently 2902 sets for sale (not all different, of course) and 816 different ones for sale on Amazon. I've seen anything from college versions to Beatles, Peanuts, Elvis, various Disney themes, movie themes like Indiana Jones, and even Spongebob Squarepants. There are NFL teams, MLB teams, Pirates of the Caribbean, New York and other city versions.

Maybe redsoxxrokk would like this one with the Boston Red Sox theme - !
To be fair, we ought to at least give equal time to the Dog Lovers version , which I'd like better than cats.

This doesn't even included the online and computer game versions! Mashable reports that Google has teamed up with Hasbro to launch a Google Maps version of Monopoly called Monopoly City Streets. Users can compete in a live, worldwide version of the popular game, creating the biggest Monopoly tournament ever played. Players will literally be able to buy any street in the world, and compete with every other player on the “board”. They start with 3 million Monopoly dollars, and can build not only hotels and houses but also football stadiums, castles and skyscrapers.
