The price is not announced, probably because they can't figure it out yet.

Two things I love in this new tablet: the keyboard built into the cover, and the screen that works with finger touch and stylus at the same time.

If you are in the market for new tablet I would certainly wait for this one. It sounds like it could be a very cool product.

This seems to be the best all-in-one device yet - especially the beefier version with the "regular" non touch keyboard, and multi-touch screen, complete with display-out, graphics coprocessor and enough memory, to actually consider replacing a laptop/notebook/ultrabook+tablet combo.
Win8 b7 looked and workedgreat in a pc setting, and Win7.5 works beautifully in the Nokia Lumia 800 I tried it out on, so I have high hopes for this.

I like the scratch-resistant "Gorilla Glass" screen. But I'm wondering about apps for it, where to get them (download from Microsoft?), and if any of them will be free.

Check out the Win7.5 app store - complete with a few thousand free apps, to get a feel for whats available. Both the new Windows and Mac OS offer the option of n "app-centric" desktop, sync-ed across your devices (phones/tablets/pcs).

I am more excited about this than most other tablets...not because it is Micro$oft, but because they made the wise choice and waited to see what it is that the customer wanted and not what they think they needed. This is where patience comes into play for them in a huge way. I never liked being forced to fall in love with a product, so I expect this one to deliver.
