Michael Kors Settles Class Action Over Inflated MSRPs at Outlet Stores

submitted on June 17, 2015 by HouTex in "Stores / Merchants"
We've discussed this before about outlet stores, that many of them tagged their items with inflated MSRPs (manufacturer's suggested retail prices). But now a class action lawsuit against Michael Kors has been settled in the consumers' favor.
Michael Kors Holdings Ltd agreed to pay $4.88 million and change its sales practices to settle a class action lawsuit claiming it used deceptive price tags at its outlet stores to fool shoppers into believing they were getting big bargains.

The preliminary settlement was filed on Friday in Manhattan federal court, and requires court approval.
If you shopped at a Michael Kors outlet between July 25, 2010 and July 25, 2014, you’ll be eligible for this class action settlement.
