The federal authorities on Thursday announced they had shut down the Web site Megaupload and charged seven people connected to it, including its founder, with running an international criminal enterprise centered on copyright infringement on the Internet.

    Wow I used megaupload to download a lot of development tools that are always free. I wonder how long it will take websites to switch over their content to other uploading sites. It makes me wonder if everything uploaded to the website was seized too meaning some websites might have lost content all together. It makes me think about all the people that paid for service too that allowed faster downloads and multiple downloads going, they are probably out of a lot of money combined.

    That's very bad news, pravallika. I download lot of the Movie on their site and is very fast.

    I usually watch videos in megaupload from today onwards I want to switch to other.
