McDonald's to offer free Wi-Fi (nationwide)

The fast-food chain will soon offer free wireless Internet access at its U.S. restaurants, The Wall Street Journal reported this morning. The goal is to make its restaurants more hangout-friendly.

McDonald's had charged a $2.95 fee for two hours of wireless Internet access at 11,000 of its 14,000 U.S. locations. Now the company will scrap that fee beginning in the middle of January, said McDonald's USA chief information officer David Grooms.

I had no idea I thought all of them did already for free. I mean I'm in KY we get nothing before other people especially free stuff!
