Macy's plans to install electric car charging stations in San Diego stores

Macy's is luring customers to its stores by installing charging stations on parking lots. Right now it is just a small pilot project in San Diego, CA but reportedly Walgreen's is doing the same in Dallas area and I hope more retailers will pick up the idea. Lack of charging infrastructure is a huge obstacle to electric cars getting a wider adoption.

    I think a more viable option is to buy a diesel, like VW Golf TDI. I was with my friend today test-driving one and the mileage is 40-50 miles per gallon while prices are comparable to regular gasoline cars. This easily compares to Prius...

      I wish! The school I work at is six miles from my house. I make less than $20,0000/year. Gas is killing me! Thank you Buxr for helping fill up my tank!!!!! I really appreciate it! Big Grin
