Nice feature. I hate it when I try to sell something and get charged even when I don't get rid of the item on regular eBay.

Our Penny Saver you can list giving away items for FREE, but selling items cost a few bucks. Still less than classified ads and you get better results from locals wanting to buy.

I have using eBay Classifieds for about eight months. I sold one thing. They don't get the exposure that Craig's List does but you also don't get the spam and it is free! It is great for getting rid of large things you don't want to ship on eBay.

If, you need items to sell on eBay Classifieds, I've have had tremendous success, getting things for free on freecycle.org and what I didn't sell, I gave to local charities.

Listing on Ebay has been free for about 3 months so this is nothing new. If the item sells you still get charged a final value fee as well as a paypal fee (ebay owns paypal). Also if you put more than 1 picture on your listing you will get charged fees for pictures beyond 1. You also will get charged for listing the item with a buy it now or with a reserve price. Also you will get charged a listing fee if you start your listing at a price over $9.99. I have sold over 4,000 things on E-bay so I have some knowledge here. Confused

Wow! That's impressive. I tried to sell a textbook on there a few weeks ago and had a listing price starting at $25 and still no insertion fee. I like that you can avoid the fee if you want.

Revised: Ebay does random free listing days where as it can be a free listing day of up to $30 starting fee or up to $100 starting fee or whatever they choose to do. Perhaps the book was listed during one of those promotions. But for now the listing fees are as I said before.
