Light Bulbs Advertised as 'Green' Contain Arsenic and Lead

Thought you were doing your part and being eco friendly by changing to LED bulbs?


Those energy-saving little LED bulbs advertised as eco-friendly -- and used in strings of holiday lights and in car headlights -- actually contain toxic lead, arsenic and some other bad stuff, new research shows.

    A good reason to recycle properly. Even the more widely used "green" compact fluorescent light bulbs have mercury in them. You can drop off you old ones at recycle centers such as Home Depot for free.
