The old saying holds true, "If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is".

What about all the bargain hunting?! Smile I wonder who reported the "sophisticated downtown warehouse operation" - someone who didn't get their share? or an iPod or two...

You know I've ordered quite a few knock offs from sites like Dealextreme, FocalPrice, and many more and I've not had too many issues. I think the main thing you have to look at is reviews. Sites like those like to submit fake reviews sometimes but they are always rough English. If you look around you can find good deal on counterfeits if it doesn't bother you to own a knock-off.
